Caregivers Contest Rules
Thanks for your interest in NICOA’s How do I self-care contest. We know caregiving is a big job and we want to remind all caregivers that self-care is important. We hope by hosting this contest that caregivers will take time for self-care, share self-care tips and find resources to help support you by going to our Connected Indigenous Elders’ website under the caregivers tab.
- The How do I self-care contest will run from September 29 to October 28, 2021. Videos and photos posted on social media (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) before 12 am Mountain Time on October 28, 2021 will be eligible.
- To be eligible, a caregiver needs to show a photo of their loved one (elder, parent or spouse) or include them in the video or photo for submission. All submissions must use hashtag #myIndigenousselfcare and tag NICOA.
- Videos should be short, within one to three minutes.
- Videos should include first name, your tribal affiliation or tribal territory, and a short description of self-care tips for other caregivers. If submitting a photo, please include tribal affiliation or tribal territory and a short description or tip on self-care.
- Only one entry per person.
- Drawing will be held on October 29. Recipients will be notified by a social media post on NICOA’s social media channels, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Recipients may also be sent a message via those channels.
- Please allow up to two weeks for gift box delivery.
