Your Story Matters
The National Council on Aging (NICOA) is seeking American Indian and Alaska Native Elders living with disabilities to participate in a storytelling project focused on culture, community, resilience, and aging well.
Through the interviews and story mapping, we hope to highlight the experiences, challenges, and strengths of Native Elders while helping improve awareness, services, and support for Native communities.
Who Can Participate?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are age 55 or older
- Are an enrolled member of a federally recognized tribe
- Live with a disability

Why Participate?
Your story can help:
- Educate providers and policymakers
- Raise awareness about aging with a disability
- Preserve community knowledge
- Strengthen support systems for Native Elders
- Inspire future generations
